0240L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 10/23/25

A storm system moving our way from the west and a front from the north will make the next several days interesting on how much rainfall we MIGHT receive. That said, we do have a 90% chance overnight. We are in a GENERAL RISK area for thunderstorms but the heavier activity looks to set up to our south so we’ll see what happens. As it appears, we’ll be in the General Risk for the next few days. Hopefully we do see some rainfall.

There will be a flood risk where it does rain a lot so if traveling, stay aware of conditions.

Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your countywide forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Thursday- Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday Night- A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then showers with thunderstorms likely after midnight. Lows in the mid-50s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
