0412L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-4/15/22

1- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-Sunny, with a high near 87. Southwest wind 14 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.

Friday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 43. Northeast wind 13 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.

2- Windy and warm as a dryline will push through the area early this afternoon basically changing winds from the southwest to westerly. By late afternoon/early evening, a front will push in and per guidance, we probably won’t see any rainfall. We are in a GENERAL Thunderstorm area but the NWS believes that any storms that could form will occur to our east. We’ll see what happens.

3-Fire Weather-wise, we are dry, the wind will blow, temps will be high and humidity will be low. Thus, NEAR CRITICAL conditions will exist. NO CONTROLLED BURNING again today. Thank you. If you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately.
