0330L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 4/7/23

*Mostly clear skies and light winds will give us another really nice day. Get outside and enjoy this mild weather! The unfortunate thing for our area is that there’s no rain in sight for quite some time so water the yard if possible.

* As stated yesterday, while we have nice weather going on, it is a good time to go over your preparedness plan. Many think is too complicated but in reality, it’s not. All you do is sit down with pencil and paper, look around and observe your options, write them down, and guess what, you have a plan. The only reason you think it’s hard is because you see plans out there from other places and think yours has to be hundreds of pages long. It doesn’t. It only has to suit you and your family and the plan needs to be exercised. Once you have it done, apply it to a fire, the weather, possibly an earthquake, etc. Again, it’s not hard.

* The FIRE DANGER REMAINS ELEVATED, so be careful out there and call 911 IMMEDIATELY, IF YOU SEE SMOKE OR FIRE.

* Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Today- Sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows in the upper 30s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
