0330L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 4/6/23

*We won’t have seasonal temps today since we’ll be a bit below that number but with light winds and abundant sunshine, it should be really nice outside. This will be a day that you’ll want to be outdoors. Get out there and enjoy.

*This would also be a good time to look over or think about your PREPAREDNESS plan. Even though we are in an extreme drought, you need to realize that our time is coming for severe weather. The pattern is moderating right now and it’s not out of the question that we will experience additional severe storms in the near future. Will we have tornadoes? MAYBE, but are YOU ready for that type of weather? Take the time to at least go over what you will do or where you will go in the event, we have that type of severe weather. PLAN NOW so you don’t have to PANIC later!

* The FIRE DANGER is ELEVATED so be careful out there and call 911 IMMEDIATELY, IF YOU SEE “ANY” SMOKE OR FIRE.

* Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Today- Sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Cold with lows in the lower 30s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
