0335L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 2/4/22

WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 12 NOON TODAY. Wind chill temps as low as 5 to 15 below zero are possible.

1- The winter storm is winding down and we will see the sun and everything in it’s brightness today. Be sure to wear your sunglasses as it may be difficult to see without them. I will have snow totals by 9 am. Let me know as best you can about drift heights around your areas. Estimates may be the easiest but if you have a yard stick, use that. I have 1 over 4 feet and another at 3 ft.

2- As stated before, travel will still be treacherous for the next day or so. Use extreme caution if you decide to go anywhere. While driving here in town or around the county, be careful as there are still many snowdrifts that if you drive through them, you could lose control. Pay attention and you’ll be ok.

3- Overall, we survived another winter storm and let the melting begin! Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny, with a high near 31. Wind chill values as low as -12. West wind 6 to 10 mph.

Tonight-Mostly clear, with a low around 6. Wind chill values as low as -3. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
