0310L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 6/14/24
*The upper ridge is firmly in place so we’ll see temps once again in the upper 90’s to low 100’s with south winds. Storms developed in eastern Colorado and traveled our way late yesterday just causing a wind issue for our area. This MAY occur again later this evening since we are in a GENERAL Risk area for thunderstorms. We’ll see how the forecast ends up later today.
Overall, we’ll be ok but we’ll keep that eye out for t-storms later tonight. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny. Highs in the upper 90s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows around 70. South winds 10 to 15 mph.
REMINDER- we are getting warmer outside so make sure you take the proper precautions to stay cool. Heat exhaustion can become a medical issue real quick if you don’t stay hydrated properly. USE EXTREME CAUTION WHILE WORKING OUTDOORS!
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
