0310L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 6/15/24
*MARGINAL RISK for some severe weather later this afternoon and tonight exists as a trough moves through the area. “IF” storms occur, large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats.
*Overall, we’ll be ok and we’ll keep that eye on the sky. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Saturday- Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 90s. South winds 15 to 20 mph.
Saturday Night- Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the lower 70s. South winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
REMINDER 1- we are getting warmer outside so make sure you take the proper precautions to stay cool. Heat exhaustion can become a medical issue real quick if you don’t stay hydrated properly. USE EXTREME CAUTION WHILE WORKING OUTDOORS!
REMINDER 2- Harvest is still on-going and farm equipment doesn’t move as fast as some folks like to go. Be patient and slow down.
REMINDER 3- The Fire Danger is increasing. If you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately so a response can be sent. Also, keep an eye out for suspicious activity.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
