MARGINAL risk for possibly some severe weather later today into the evening hours. Chances are in the 20% range. These storms, if they occur will move in from the NW. This may change so we’ll keep an eye out. Main risks will be wind and hail & storms should be high based.
*HOT, WINDY, & DRY, will be what we can expect from now through most of next week. I added a graphic to explain the heat risks so please take the time to read this and keep a close eye on folks that may be working outside or even the kids while playing outside.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny. Highs around 100. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Tonight- Mostly clear with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then partly cloudy after midnight. Lows in the lower 70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
AS STATED YESTERDAY, in the event you can’t find our information on social media, you can find it on our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app under GCEM Blog and on our website at https://gcem.org
You should also be able to find it on the CITY CONNECT app for the City of Enid too. It appears that several entities are having issues for some reason so I wanted to interject this just in case it happens to us too.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
