0345L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-6/7/19

1- The rain has subsided for now and hopefully sunshine returns along with some wind. The main threat as I see it right now is the mosquito outbreak that is in progress. Scout around your business and around your homes and dump out any standing water. This will help some. Get some mosquito dunks and utilize them where appropriate.  2 mosquitoes tried to hitch a ride to Enid from Kremlin with me yesterday but they expired before arrival. Sneaky little things!!

2- Rain chances will be low but not out of the question for the foreseeable future. There will be days without some but more days with the possibility. We’ll just deal with it. Another factor will be the humidity. PACE YOURSELF outdoors while working. The humidity makes it feel hotter than it really is but can hurt you if you don’t pay attention to what your body is telling you.

3- If the sun comes out, enjoy it. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-Partly cloudy with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the mid-80s. Light and variable winds. Chance of thunderstorms 20 percent.

Friday Night-Clear. Lows around 60. Light and variable winds.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
