FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-FRIDAY JUNE 9, 2017

The HEAT is on for the foreseeable future then rain comes back into the forecast about mid-week. Maybe we’ll get lucky and actually see more than just raindrops next week. Temps will remain in the 90’s during this time so expect muggy conditions as we move towards mid week.
Until then, we are getting warmer now so take the proper precautions to protect yourself, the kids, and don’t forget your pets. I know for fact that as we age, the heat affects folks differently so just pay attention and pace yourself while outdoors. OK, no more preaching.

Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 84. South southeast wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Friday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. South southeast wind 10 to 13 mph.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
