FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

We are “near” a MARGINAL RISK area for severe storms later today and tonight. As you can see in the graph below, we aren’t in the actual area but it wouldn’t surprise me to see those lines move some today. All risks are noted on the graph. Don’t change any plans but just stay weather aware later today and you’ll be ok. “IF” anything were to occur here, it appears to be later this evening. Download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. It just might save your life!!

It’s going to get a bit warmer than we are used to this weekend so prepare for that and take the proper precautions for you and your family. Heat issues can really hurt and affect you for years so be careful now and hopefully you won’t have to deal with those issues.

Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Thursday-20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. South southeast wind 5 to 9 mph.
Thursday Night-30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Southeast wind 6 to 9 mph.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
