FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

First of all today I want to thank both radio stations for a successful drive to get water and accessories for all the folks dealing with the wildfires. It is greatly appreciated.

I stated yesterday to keep your coats handy, well, I hope you did. You will notice we will be cooler today and even more so over the weekend. We look to get below freezing by Sunday morning and again early next week. Winter is not over yet.
That said, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-Sunny, with a high near 55. North northeast wind 11 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
Friday Night-30 percent chance of showers after midnight. Increasing clouds, with a low around 40. East wind 7 to 10 mph.

Finally, I will post a short brief on how we either deploy or stand by for other counties during major fire events later this morning. Many folks have asked questions and I will answer them in this brief. Keep in mind that this is how we do things here while coordinating with state and county officials.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
MIKE
