FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-3/11/22

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON TODAY.

1-We are expecting 1 to 2 inches of snow today with maybe some sleet mixed in. Per guidance, models just aren’t in good agreement but snow, wind chill, and wind will be our main events today.

2- Overall, if you plan on traveling, road conditions around the region can be found on our gcem.org website on the front page. Just remember to take your time as conditions to our south may be quite a bit different than they may be here.

3-Overall, we’ll be ok so slow down and stay cautious while driving. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-Snow, mainly before noon. High near 33. North wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Friday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 14. North wind 5 to 11 mph becoming west after midnight.
