0328L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 5/16/25
Another front will push in today keeping us in the dryer air region. We aren’t expecting any thunderstorms here until later on into the weekend. That said, we have a briefing with the NWS this morning so I’ll update over our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app after that update. Keep in mind that as it appears right now, “our” highest threat day looks to be SUNDAY. There is a chance on Saturday but everything depends on where this warm front ends up and where the dryline forms. See graphic as it shows, as of right now, where that may be on Saturday. We’ll see where this mess sets up each day and we’ll prepare accordingly.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny. Highs in the mid-80s. West winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-50s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, becoming east after midnight.
Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. NWS warnings and advisories come through “in detail” automatically and you’ll get important info from us too.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
