0325L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 5/17/25
SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER LATER TODAY- ALL HAZARDS ARE POSSIBLE. This will be the story from today through Monday. Our risk level will increase as we move forward into the weekend and early next week.
The above stated, read the graphics carefully as the location of the warm front later today will depend on where the worst weather will be located. I will post a few graphics below but go to the NWS link here- https://www.weather.gov/oun to read the info on each graphic.
NOTE- I didn’t post additional info yesterday because not much had changed. We do have another briefing today and I will post if there are any major changes.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Partly sunny. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Some thunderstorms may be severe. Highs in the lower 80s. East winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
Tonight- Partly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Some thunderstorms may be severe. More humid with lows around 60. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
