0310L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 11/15/24
*Another nice day with plenty of sunshine. The only issue will be increasing winds. You’ll definitely notice them this afternoon into Saturday. This is due to a storm system which will bring additional rainfall on Sunday and Monday. We could see 1-2 inches of rainfall. We’ll see what happens.
We have been downgraded drought-wise into an ABNORMALLY DRY status on the Drought Monitor. This is a good thing but additional rainfall would be nice as long as it come slowly. Again, we’ll see what happens.
*Overall, we’ll be ok just windblown over the next few days. Here is your forecast for today and Saturday from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. South winds 15 to 20 mph.
Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 40s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Saturday- Sunny in the morning, then becoming partly sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Saturday Night- Mostly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.
