0320L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 11/25/22

1-Most folks feel they are prepared for anything. We have been extremely lucky to not have had a major event where widespread destruction has occurred. We can’t say this for a few places here in Oklahoma. Legends state we won’t have this event or that event BUT we have. Therefore, being prepared, JUST IN CASE, is always a good idea. Our Preparedness app-GARFIELD COUNTY EM is loaded with great info to help you get, be, & stay prepared. You’re not out anything by downloading it so why not get that done then at least it’s there when the time comes and you need it. Just sayin.

2- WEATHER-WISE, We do have a storm system moving across the southwest U.S that will affect us precipitation-wise probably late Friday night into Saturday. Events this evening in Enid look to be ok at least right now with the guidance that’s available early this morning. I’ll keep an eye on this and coordinate with the NWS on any major changes in the forecast.

3- OVERALL, we’ll be ok so get outside and enjoy. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 50s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight-Partly cloudy in the evening, then mostly cloudy with a chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the mid-30s. Northeast winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
