0300L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 10/11/24
*Warm temps will continue with highs in the low 90s. Winds will be low around 5 to 10 mph. This said, we are now in an EXCEPTIONAL DROUGHT surrounded by severe drought conditions. Use extreme caution while utilizing anything related to fire. The fire danger is elevated so if you see smoke or fire, call 911. Also, if you see any suspicious activity out in the county, call the Sheriff’s office- 580-237-0244
*Saturday, we’ll be in the mid-90s with nominal winds before a cold front pushes in on Sunday. This front will bring some much colder air and we’ll start to feel a difference during the day on Sunday but especially on Monday. We’ll see what happens.
