0305L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 10/10/24
*At 0245L there are a few showers in SW Oklahoma. Nothing major is expected. There is still a very slight chance we may see at least some virga which is: falling rain that evaporates before reaching the ground, around daybreak. We’ll see what happens. Other-wise, we expect another warm day with increasing winds. This Sunday, another front, this time a strong cold front will push in, dropping temps below normal with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and low temps in the 40s starting what appears to be on Monday as the colder air filters in. This will be a nice change.
*As stated in previous posts, the fire danger is increasing so use extra caution if utilizing anything related to the fire family. Keep your eyes peeled for any suspicious activity out there.
*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning. Highs in the upper 80s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
Tonight- Clear. Lows in the upper 50s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
