0300L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 10/18/24

*Windy and mostly sunny today. With winds forecast to gust upwards of 25-30 mph, the dirt and allergen’s will be flying around so be prepared for that. Humidity will be higher than yesterday but the fire danger still remains elevated somewhat.

*There should be some moisture return as an upper low tracks eastward over the weekend bringing in gulf moisture. It’s been awhile since that has occurred. Our chances for rain late Sunday Night into Monday will depend on the storm track but we’ll be in a 50/50 chance area early Monday so we’ll see what happens.

*There are no more cold fronts forecast to come in with colder air this up and coming week so we’ll be warming back up into the 80s. So much for fall. Oh well, we’ll just water the yard and hope for rain.

*Overall, we’ll be ok. Here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

Tonight- Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s. Southeast winds 15 to 20 mph, diminishing to around 10 mph after midnight.

*Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re not prepared without it!

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
