0340L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/2/22

1- General Thunderstorm Risk continues as a tropical airmass remains in the area. Stay prepared for this possibility through early next week. As stated before, the southern part of the state should see the heavier side of any organized precipitation. We received ½ inch of rainfall in 2 hours yesterday. We’re not complaining. We would like to see more but we won’t be holding our breath.

2- Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 90s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Partly cloudy. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the mid-60s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Have a good day!
