0320L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-7/01/23

*Interesting Spring; we had some summer in April, we had June in May, and we have had May and part of August in June. I wonder what July will bring. Hopefully, no snow!

*The storms last night dissipated before they got here so no rain. There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms today so we’ll see how that goes. We are in a Marginal risk per the NWS.

* The Drought Monitor that came out on Thursday still has us in a severe drought so don’t let the green plants fool you. They are dry along with other foliage out there. Use extreme caution if utilizing anything related to fire.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly cloudy with showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 80s. West winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.

Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Lows in the upper 60s. West winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming north after midnight.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
