0315L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-6/30/23

* Today will be warm with highs in the upper 90s. At least we’re out of the 100s for a few days. We will then be back in a pattern that brings rain chances into the area again though low chances. Saturday looks to be the best chance with a MARGINAL RISK with hail and winds being the main threats. For TODAY, we are in a GENERAL RISK for some showers and thunderstorms later tonight. We’ll see what happens.

* There is a low chance, per guidance, for rain on the 4th of July. We’ll see how that develops, if at all but it will be hot and humid.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so stay hydrated if working outdoors and stay safe. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

 Today- Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 90s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the lower 70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph, becoming west 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Chance of rain 50 percent.

*Download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. Being PREPARED is a good thing.
