*Download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’ll get detailed notifications from the NWS and from us in Emergency Management. As we move into Spring, your need for information will increase. Be sure to download our app today!

*First, the VAFB WSR 88-D weather radar went down overnight. Techs have been notified and it should hopefully be back up soon.

*Sunny skies will bring warmth to the region over the next few days then several troughs will come into play bringing a chance for some thunderstorm activity late Tuesday though the rest of the week. Severe weather is possible if we see enough moisture return. We’ll just have to hope it rains soon.

*The fire danger will be mostly elevated this week until conditions increase on Friday to near critical. We’ll see what happens there. Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny, breezy with highs in the lower 70s. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Not as cool with lows in the mid-50s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Finally, if you see smoke or fire, call 911.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
