*HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1PM UNTIL 8PM. HEAT INDEX VALUES UP TO 106 ARE POSSIBLE. We remain in a MODERATE drought too, so use extreme caution if doing any controlled burning.

*We return to warmer temps today and the heat advisory is proof. We hope you enjoyed the cooler weather. Next chance for rain appears to be later this week. Until then, stay hydrated, make sure the outdoor animals have plenty to eat and drink and you all do the same.

Today- Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight, then sunny. Humid with highs in the mid-90s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent. Heat index values up to 106.

Tonight- Mostly clear in the evening, then partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Humid with lows in the lower 70s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent. Heat index values up to 108 early in the evening.
