0325L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-8/22/22

1- Not much rain fell over the weekend but that was expected. The brunt of rainfall 2.5 inches to 4.35 inches has fallen in the southern part of the state and is still falling. Maybe next time we’ll see more but at least we were cooler than normal.

2- This week we can expect highs in the mid-80s to low to mid-90s with lows in the mid-60s for the most part. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 80s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight-Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 60s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

3- As stated last week, the following link is for WINTER PREPAREDNESS. This link is something to bookmark and as we move closer to winter with the rumors of shortages and outages, I’ll have some other links to give to you to enhance your level of preparedness. Some folks laugh about this stating we won’t have any problems. Get ready because with the state of this country right now, no one exactly knows what will happen. This is why YOU need to take action for yourself and your families. Don’t be unprepared. Here is the first link in the series- https://www.weather.gov/safety/winter

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
