0330L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-8/8/22

1- I’ll start with your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning and this afternoon. Highs in the upper 90s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

Tonight-Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the lower 70s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

2- It looks like we will have a “chance” for thunderstorms for the next few days then back to higher temps around mid-week. It storms do occur; the stronger storms will be slow movers and torrential rainmakers so just be aware of this. Overall, we’ll be ok so hang in there and enjoy some hopefully cooler temps for a few days.

3-We are still in a severe drought. The rain last week was enough to bring us down from an extreme drought to severe so keep watering where you can and hopefully, we continue to get relief.

Finally- HAVE A GOOD DAY AND STAY COOL!
