1- A front has pushed through the area overnight bringing a little freezing precip to the Ponca City area but is well southeast of the area now. Another front will usher in some colder air this morning along with gusty north winds. Keep your coats handy if you plan on being outdoors.

2- As we move through the week, temps will warm but with the strong southerly winds, it will seem cold at times. We should see temps by mid-week around 60 degrees. We are still in an extreme drought so be careful and report any smoke or fire to 911.

3- Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the upper 30s. Temperature falling into the upper 20s this afternoon. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Cold with lows around 15. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming south after midnight.
