1- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Independence Day-Sunny and hot, with a high near 99. Heat index values as high as 102. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Monday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 78. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

2- HOT DAYS AND WARM NIGHTS can be expected this week. Use extreme caution while doing any type of work outdoors and remember to stay hydrated.

It’s illegal to fire them off of a county road, meaning fence to fence. Here is the STATE LAW;

FIREWORKS- TITLE 68, Article 16-Fireworks, Section 1627- It shall be unlawful to explode or ignite fireworks within five hundred feet of any church, hospital, asylum, unharvested, flammable agricultural crop, public school or where fireworks are stored, sold, or offered for sale. No person shall ignite or discharge any permissible articles of fireworks within or throw the same from a motor vehicle; nor shall any person place or throw any ignited article of fireworks into or at such vehicle or at or near any group of people.
