1-Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 90s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight-Mostly clear. Humid with lows in the mid-70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.

2-HOT & HUMID conditions will continue along with a chance for a few thunderstorms around the area this morning. Heat index temps could reach 102 this afternoon so make sure you stay hydrated today and this upcoming week.

3- Once again, here is a statement concerning fireworks:

It’s illegal to fire them off of a county road, meaning fence to fence. Here is the STATE LAW;

FIREWORKS- TITLE 68, Article 16-Fireworks, Section 1627- It shall be unlawful to explode or ignite fireworks within five hundred feet of any church, hospital, asylum, unharvested, flammable agricultural crop, public school or where fireworks are stored, sold, or offered for sale. No person shall ignite or discharge any permissible articles of fireworks within or throw the same from a motor vehicle; nor shall any person place or throw any ignited article of fireworks into or at such vehicle or at or near any group of people.
