MARGINAL RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER TODAY.
*FLOOD WATCH until 3pm. WIND ADVISORY from 3am until 3pm.
*At 0235 Local time, it hasn’t rained very much here yet. We have received around .16 hundreds of an inch so far. This will change later this morning as heavier storms are moving into SW Oklahoma. Main risks are 60-80 mph winds, quarter size hail and a very low risk for tornadoes here in the county.
*Storms in SW Oklahoma are severe with 1 tornado warning in that area so far. We’ll keep an eye out on this mess as the morning progresses. The front should push through our area this afternoon.
*Overall, we should be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today-Patchy fog this morning. Showers with a chance of thunderstorms this morning. Locally heavy rainfall possible this morning and possibly this afternoon. Very windy with highs in the upper 60s. Temperature falling to around 60 this afternoon. Southeast winds 25 to 30 mph, becoming southwest 25 to 35 mph this afternoon. Gusts up to 50 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent.
Tonight-Mostly clear and breezy, cooler with lows in the lower 40s. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, becoming west 10 to 15 mph after midnight.
