0315L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 11/17/24
*FLOOD WATCH from 6pm tonight through 6pm Monday evening.
*We are expecting some sort of severe weather starting late tonight into Monday. As it looks RIGHT NOW at 0305, Monday will be our day for severe weather. All hazards are possible. Right now, heavy rain, strong winds, and a low threat for tornadoes are possible. See attached graphics and read them carefully. They will change some throughout the period.
*As all this mess gets closer and guidance verifies a bit better, we’ll have a better picture of where the main threats will likely be.
*Overall, we’ll be ok for today so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Partly sunny this morning, then mostly cloudy with a chance of showers this afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s. South winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming north this afternoon. Chance of rain 50 percent.
Tonight- Showers. Locally heavy rainfall possible after midnight. Lows in the upper 50s. East winds 5 to 10 mph, increasing to 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph after midnight. Chance of rain near 100 percent.
