0315L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-11/17/23

*The cold front has entered the area shifting the winds from the south to the north. No rain is expected today with this front here but we will experience lower temps and gusty winds. Skies should generally remain clear for the most part so we’ll have a nice day, just with gusty winds.

* Winds should shift back from the south Saturday morning and become fairly strong through Sunday as yet another front approaches. We will have a slight chance for rain on Sunday into early Monday as the next front pushes in with much cooler air.

*Thanksgiving may be that transition day where we go from cool to cold depending on yet another cold front. Just for info, this is normal around this timeframe to go from warm temps to cold temps. Either way, keep a coat and umbrella handy as we continue forward.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. North winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Tonight- Clear. Lows in the mid-30s. North winds around 5 mph.
