0330L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 4/15/23
*A COLD FRONT is pushing into the area as I type at 0300 this morning. It will bring noticeably cooler temperatures in the 60’s for highs for a few days and lows back into the mid to upper 30’s. My suggestion for tender plants that may have been planted is to cover them tonight and Sunday night just in case we dip closer to freezing overnight.
*We missed the rain or I should say the rain missed us but there is another chance next Thursday per guidance. We’ll see what happens on that one. Until then, break out the jackets for a few days and be careful out there.
* Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Partly sunny and breezy. Much cooler with highs in the lower 60s. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Cooler with lows in the mid-30s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, diminishing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight.
*FINALLY, the FIRE DANGER is still up there so use EXTREME CAUTION while utilizing anything related to fire. No controlled burning IS ADVISED. We thank you for that. Call 911 if you see smoke or fire.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
