0425L-SATURDAY UPDATE FROM ENID/GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-4/7/18

1- FREEZE WARNING still in effect until 10 am this morning. We are in the low 20’s right now and if everything goes according to plan; we’ll end up in the low 40’s with some sunshine. Winds will make it feel colder of course.

2-It’s snowing. It is light and hardly enough has fallen to actually measure but at least we can say, it snowed this year. Hopefully it continues for a while this morning because at this point any precip is better than nothing.

3- Be extremely careful on any bridge or on the overpasses. We did have some drizzle last night while temps transitioned to freezing temperatures and there may be some slick spots. Just be VERY CAUTIOUS while driving. If you plan on driving east or south today, use extreme caution as there has been reports of freezing rain. That is why there is a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT ALL AROUND US.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Saturday-30 percent chance of snow, mainly before 7am. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 43. North wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Saturday Night-A slight chance of rain, snow, and sleet after 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 30. Northeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

HAVE A SUPER DAY AND STAY SAFE!!
