0415L-SATURDAY UPDATE FROM EGCEM-8/11/18

1-As most are aware, thunderstorms fired up yesterday and gave us around 1/8 to ¼ of an inch, at least here at the house. Other totals may vary. Today MAY be about the same. Severe weather isn’t expected BUT could occur due to winds from collapsing thunderstorms.

2- It appears we will be in this pattern for the next week. That said, just expect periods of thunderstorms and understand that a few could be severe. Remember that severe parameters are; winds; 58+ mph and 1 inch hail. Tornadic activity is NOT expected as the environment isn’t conducive to this activity.

3- Around mid-week, severe weather will be possible but we are a long ways out on that right now.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Partly cloudy. Isolated thunderstorms in the morning, then scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s. Light and variable winds. Chance of thunderstorms 40 percent.

Tonight-Partly cloudy. Scattered thunderstorms in the evening. Lows in the upper 60s. Light and variable winds. Chance of thunderstorms 40 percent.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
