0350L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-8/22/2020

1- We are warming up under a small dome of high pressure. This allows for good radiational cooling at night and mild conditions during the day. Due to a lack of rain lately, we are starting to see some drought conditions return, especially out west. The rain we received was a good thing but most of it came so fast it ran off instead of soaking in. We’re not in any drought area yet but we may see mild drought conditions in the near future if we don’t receive any rainfall.

2- As for the tropical weather near the gulf and in the Atlantic, they are too far out to know our weather impacts for sure at this time. A few more days will tell if they might affect our weather. You can get info on them here- https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

3- Overall, we’ll be ok so enjoy the warmer weather and light winds. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny. Highs in the lower 90s. South winds around 10 mph.

Tonight-Clear. Lows in the mid-60s. Southeast winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
