0340L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/5/2020

1- Nice day with clear skies and low winds. FIRE WEATHER conditions are low but if you see smoke or fire, call 911. There will be several areas where controlled burning will take place. This said, if you live in the area and there is no one around, call 911. Controlled burning means someone is there keeping an eye on things. If no one is there, we look at that as an out of control burn.

2- We are in a La Nina weather pattern which generally means we will be drier than normal. Basically, we won’t see as much precip and then by February or so, it could go either way depending on the upper pattern. We are abnormally dry so just keep this in mind.

3- OVERALL, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny. Highs in the lower 50s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight-Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 20s. Light and variable winds.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
