0255L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 02/17/24

*Colder temps, strong winds, and cloudy conditions will continue for a while today. Winds will slowly lay down as the day moves forward and by evening should become southeast at 5 mph or so. Temps will only make it up to the upper 30’s and the wind chill will range from the mid-teens early this morning to the upper 20’s by evening then dropping once again overnight. There is a very slight chance that we could see a flurry or two this morning as the upper storm system moves through southern Kansas. YEP, it’s still winter.

*After today, we’ll start a gradual warm-up and end up in the upper 60’s to low 70’s by Tuesday. Mother nature is teasing us again. We’ll take it though. No precip is expected through next weekend.

Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly cloudy this morning, then becoming mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 30s. North winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight- Clear, cold with lows in the mid-20s. West winds 5 to 10 mph.
