0300L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-1/29/22

1-GOOD MORNING, Today through Monday looks really nice so for those that have been sick or trapped in the house, get outside for a little bit and soak in some sunlight. It’s actually good for you. Temps will average in the 60s for highs today through Monday and then colder temps will start to affect the area on Tuesday, mainly in the latter part of the day into Wednesday and Thursday.

2- Wednesday/Thursday timeframe, we will have a chance for possibly rain, freezing rain, or snow or a little bit of all of them. Guidance is still a little skeptical and NOTHING is definitive quite yet. This said, we will have much colder weather with this up and coming storm system and storm track and moisture levels will be important. We’ll just have to see where this mess actually tracks.

3- One more thing to keep in mind after the small snow we had this past week. Many folks drove around like idiots. Slow down on icy roads and put your phones down so you can pay closer attention to your driving. Causing a wreck due to texting or whatever could possibly get you sued and your kids hurt. Don’t want to see that happen. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Saturday-Sunny, with a high near 63. West wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday Night-Clear, with a low around 25. West northwest wind around 8 mph.

FINALLY; the FIRE DANGER is elevated so use extreme caution while utilizing anything related to fire.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
