0325L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-1/30/22

1-Today and Monday are going to be super nice days. Tuesday afternoon through Thursday will definitely not be what most of us want-extremely colder, wet, and miserable. There might even be some rain on Tuesday, freezing rain, and snow by Wednesday. Amounts can’t be set as we still don’t have an actual storm track laid in stone yet and probably won’t until Monday evening.

2- There is NO NEED TO PANIC. The TV stations are already at it again along with some out there that use 1 model to predict. Can’t do it that way and you all should be smarter than that. Yes, we will see some winter weather but the exact timing of the storm system versus the cold front, and moisture return that is coming make a huge difference on what happens where so keep this in mind too. The main issue here that actually concerns me is the WIND CHILL TEMPS that could possibly be below zero once again. Everything else is nominal at least in my mind.

3- By Tuesday afternoon/evening just be prepared for a few days of POSSIBLY some winter precip. Believe me, we will survive this! Here is your forecast for today from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny. Highs around 60. Light and variable winds.

Tonight-Clear. Lows in the upper 20s. Light and variable winds.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
