0400L-SATURDAY UPDATE FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-3/3/18
Visit our website at www.gcem.org and download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’ll need it in the very near future.
1-“ELEVATED GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER” FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING UNTIL 9 PM TONIGHT. STRONG WINDS, LOW HUMIDITY, ALONG WITH WARM TEMPS ARE COMPONENTS FOR ANY FIRE THAT STARTS TODAY.
2-CONTROLLED BURNING IS “NOT” ADVISED.
3-MARGINAL RISK for possibly some severe weather but don’t hold your breath quite yet. With a large storm system in the NE U.S., this slows a few things down in the atmosphere. We’ll see how this plays out in future data sets.
4-Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Saturday-mostly sunny, with a high near 68. South wind 15 to 25 mph gusting to 35 mph.
Saturday Night-Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. SSE winds 15 to 20 mph gusting to 30 mph.
REPORT ANY SMOKE AND OR FIRE TO 911 and HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
MIKE
