*Earth is experiencing a Geomagnetic Storm from the sun. This type of activity hasn’t been this strong since roughly 2003. That said, here is a link to the Space Weather Prediction Center so if you want to read and learn more about this scenario, you can. *Weather-wise for the area, nice today with increasing clouds later as a low pressure system approaches from the west. Instability will be low with this system so we shouldn’t see severe weather. Our rain chances increase later tonight into tomorrow.
*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny. Highs in the lower 80s. Northwest winds around 5 mph, becoming south this afternoon.
Tonight- Mostly cloudy in the evening, then partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the upper 50s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
