0300L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 5/3/25
Today and Sunday look to be really nice with plenty of sunshine, light winds, and NO rainfall. The front that came through yesterday has brought with it cooler air so we’ll enjoy highs in the mid to upper 60’s and overnight lows in the 40’s and 50’s. Unfortunately, rain comes back into the forecast Monday evening through all of next week. We’ll deal with it as it occurs.
If anyone suffered any major damage from wind or lightning, send me your information preferably over the damage report part of our Garfield County EM app. It would be much appreciated.
Overall, we’ll be ok. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Today- Sunny. Highs around 70. North winds 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight- Clear. Lows in the mid-40s. Southeast winds around 5 mph.
Finally- according to the latest Drought Monitor, the eastern 1/3rd of the county is no longer under drought conditions and the western 2/3rds is still abnormally dry. This should change next week.
Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. NWS warnings and advisories come through “in detail” automatically and you’ll get important info from us too.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
