0450L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/1/19

1- HOT &HUMID returns for the up and coming week. As we have been stating all summer, pace yourselves while working outdoors and stay hydrated.

2- September is National Preparedness Month. You will be seeing many posts this month on what you can do to be prepared in virtually any situation. You have seen my comment; PREPAREDNESS STARTS WITH YOU and PREPAREDNESS=RESILIENCE. My comment to everyone that follows me or at least reads these posts is this; if you cannot sustain yourself and your family for at least a week, have the means to receive information 5 different ways, and actually have some sort of a basic WRITTEN PLAN for you and your family, then you are NOT PREPARED.

3- Get mad at me if you want and start getting prepared so you can be resilient to most anything that would occur that would affect you and your family. 99% OF ALL FOLKS ARE NOT PREPARED for the most basic event. That changes this month. The slogan this month is PREPARED, NOT SCARED.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 90. Heat index values as high as 97. Light and variable wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Tonight-Mostly clear, with a low around 68. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
