0255L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-4/2/23

*Another windy day on tap with the Fire Danger remaining CRITICAL. Wind gusts could exceed 40 mph. This week will be very dry and Tuesday will be another EXTREME FIRE WEATHER day with wind gusts exceeding 50 mph. A WIND ADVISORY has been issued for Tuesday.

* Weather-wise for today, warm, and windy with a lot of sunshine. This would be a good day to get out and scalp the yard. Severe weather is forecast for southern Oklahoma and North Texas , so if you plan on traveling in that direction, stay weather aware later today.

* Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Sunday- Sunny, with a high near 75. Windy, with a south wind 17 to 22 mph increasing to 23 to 28 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 41 mph.

Sunday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. South wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
