0325L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-1/02/22
1- WIND CHILL ADVISORY UNTIL 0900 LOCAL TIME. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO EXPIRE.
2- Per forecast guidance, it doesn’t appear we’ll get back above 32 degrees until Monday around noon time. We’ll have another front come through around mid-week. At 0250L, it’s 12 degrees with a wind chill of -5. Just a touch chilly but it is winter. We should warm up into the mid to upper 20s today but the wind chill will still be in the teens or so. Be careful if you have to be out in this colder air today.
3- Overall, we’ll be ok so stay in if you don’t have to be out and be careful on the roads as there are places that will be slick and hazardous. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Sunday-Sunny, with a high near 29. Wind chill values as low as -8. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.
Sunday Night-Clear, with a low around 12. Winds will be light and variable.
