0315L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-7/16/23
* Sunshine, warmth, and a “possibility” of rain overnight is what the week looks like right now. The HEAT INDEX will ramp up Monday thru Thursday as humidity and dewpoint temps increase then higher rain chances return for the weekend.
*The FIRE DANGER will be increasing as we move forward so be careful out there. Anyone doing any controlled burning needs to call dispatch at 580-234-3473 and let them know what’s going on. Other-wise, firetrucks may show up and put it out especially if no one is there. Controlled burning means someone is there keeping an eye on the situation.
*FOR TODAY- we are in a MARGINAL RISK for thunderstorms overnight tonight from roughly 10pm through 3am. If storms occur, quarter size hail and winds 60-80mph are possible. We’ll see what happens.
*OVERALL, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Sunday- Sunny. Highs in the lower 90s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday Night- Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly clear. Humid with lows around 70. South winds 5 to 10 mph.
*Download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. Knowing what’s happening and being prepared is what it’s all about.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
