0340L SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 03/17/24

*We’ll have a very slight chance for sprinkles through daybreak then it’ll be most cloudy for part of the day. A front pushed in overnight and the colder air won’t arrive until this evening and it appears we’ll have another freeze tonight. Double check and disconnect hoses from faucets, etc. Our low tonight will drop into the mid to upper 20’s.

*This front will bring dryer air with it and dew point temps and humidity will drop during the day. The Fire Danger will continue to be a hazard so keep an eye out for smoke and fire. Call 911 if you see any. There may be a few controlled burns again today but dispatch should know where those burns are being conducted. The number to call for controlled burning is 580-234-3473. Wind gusts will exceed 20 mph so we would prefer you don’t do any burning today.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Partly sunny this morning, then clearing. Highs in the lower 60s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts.

Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Cold with lows in the upper 20s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Have a good day!
