0402L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT- 3/22/2020

1- Not sure if we’ll see any sun today, per the forecast but if we do get outside and absorb what you can. The trend over the next couple of days will be rain and possibly thunderstorms at times. We’ll be dealing with another front and depending on that timing will determine when rain or storms will occur. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of rain showers early in the morning. Patchy fog early in the morning. Not as cool. Highs in the lower 60s. South winds around 10 mph. Chance of showers 20 percent.

Tonight-Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 40s. East winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.

DIRECTOR’S PERSPECTIVE
Since this virus has come to light, the panic level in many of you is surprising. It shows who is watching the panic-driven media. I have stressed this quite a bit that YOU need to educate yourselves on this virus and maybe even others from the CDC website. Occurrences are higher where folks are crammed into small places. Cities, apartments, old historical sites like in other countries where families all live together and if one gets it they all get it. It’s sad that it’s this way but this isn’t everywhere. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND QUIT PANICKING. Not very many folks will read this and actually look into the facts but do the best you can to remember that media is driven by ratings. BECOME A KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSON, THE FEAR WILL LESSEN.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
